"We had an incredible experience working with Brendan for training our two doodles, June (an Aussiedoodle) and Tucker (a Goldendoodle)."

"Brendan did a wonderful job training our Golden Retriever Susan! Susan spent a few weeks with Brendan and returned with a host of new skills (come, place, off, drop). He was very communicative, sending videos and pics of her training. Definitely recommend!"

"We started working with Brendan to help walk our Bulldog, Bev. She likes to pull, not walk! Two sessions with him and we were so happy with the results. We also boarded her with Brendan for 8 days, the care and attention was incredible."

FAQ

Common questions

Do you work with reactive or fearful dogs?
Yes. Reactive and fear-driven dogs make up the bulk of Brendan's caseload. The training plan is built around your dog's specific triggers and threshold, not a generic obedience track.
Where do private lessons happen?
In-home throughout the Portland metro: Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Tualatin, and surrounding suburbs. Travel inside the metro is included.
Do you offer group classes or daycare?
No. Adaptive Canine Training is focused on one-on-one work: private lessons, board & train, day training, puppy, and treadmill conditioning. For socialization-focused settings, pair private lessons with a separate daycare facility.
What's the difference between Board & Train and Day Training?
Board & Train means your dog stays at the Beaverton facility with daily 1-on-1 sessions for the program length. Day Training is drop-off and pick-up, your dog sleeps at home but trains with us during the day.
Are you certified?
Adaptive Canine Training is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Brendan has 6 years of professional dog training experience.
